Foucault and Religion

Description

This seminar will begin by reading some of Foucault's writings on religion in juxtaposition with texts (say, from Bataille and Klossowski) that inspired or provoked them. Members of the seminar will then be asked to find and to judge "Foucauldian" readings of a wider range of religious discourses and practices.
