Rhetoric, Power, and Gender: Seminar

Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza

Description

This seminar is an introduction to the feminist study of gender and power. We will explore the rhetoric of gender and its socio-political, cultural, and religious constructions. Since rhetoric always inscribes the relation of language and power at a particular moment, we will investigate how socio-political, cultural and religious discourses shape the intersection of religion, gender and culture. (Guest lectures and discussions.)
