Natural Law

Mark D. Jordan

Description

This seminar will follow some mutations of "natural law" in Christian theology. After recalling sources in ancient philosophy and early Christianity, the seminar will study the doctrine's elaboration at least in Aquinas, Suárez, and Hooker. Members of the seminar will then present contemporary claims on a Christian "tradition" of natural law--both in principle and as applied to particular issues.
