Unitarian and Universalist Thought in the Twentieth Century

Description

This seminar will explore the major shapers of the Unitarian and Universalist traditions in the twentieth century, with special attention to the influence of the social gospel, religious humanism, process thought, and liberation theology. Featured writers will include Clarence Skinner, John Haynes Holmes, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Curtis Reese, Sophia Fahs, Henry Nelson Wieman, Charles Hartshorne, James Luther Adams, William R. Jones, and Rebecca Parker.
