Passion Play: History, Theology, Performance: Seminar

Description

An examination of the New Testament's four passion narratives and Christianity's "passion play" tradition, with special attention to 1) the history of Christian anti-Judaism, and 2) Christian theologies of atonement. Over the course of the semester, the seminar will write, rehearse, and perform an original passion play on the HDS campus.
