Description
A close reading of selected works of Jewish theology from the twentieth century, with special attention to the questions of God, Torah, and Israel and to the thinkers' understanding of Christianity in relation to Judaism. Authors read will be drawn mostly from the following: Baeck, Buber, Rosenzweig, Kaplan, Soloveitchik, Strauss, Berkovitz, Heschel, Fackenheim, and Wyschogrod.
