This course examines the project and methods of comparative religious ethics: foundational works in the 1970s (Little and Twiss, R. Green), alternative proposals by historians of religion (Lovin and Reynolds, Reynolds and Tracy), and developments in the study of the self, virtue, and practices of ethical formation (Yearley, Carr and Ivanhoe, Stalnaker).
