Feminist Environmental Philosophy and Theology
Susan Abraham
Description
What beliefs, practices and theologies can give rise to green living for the world's religions? Feminist thinkers such as Rosemary Radford Ruether, Sallie McFague, Catherine Keller, Vandana Shiva, Waangari Maathai, Susan Griffin, Carolyn Merchant, Gayatri Spivak, M. Jacqui Alexander and Val Plumwood assert that the gendered representations of nature influence our imagination of ethical and planetary living. This course aims to inspire feminist and constructive religious practices for planetary ecological health.
