Reading Pre-modern Hindu Narrative Literature: Seminar

Description
Focusing on the genres of \itihasa/, \purana/, and \katha/, this seminar explores the relevance of both classical Indic and contemporary Euro-American literary theories for the understanding of pre-modern South Asian narrative. Although all primary source readings will be in English translation, previous study of South Asian religions is required.
