Project: The Swamp Angel of the South: Joanna P. Moore and Home Missions Work, 1863-1916

This project explores the life of Joanna P. Moore, American Baptist Home Missionary whose interracial work, women's organizing, and partnerships with African American Women resulted in the creation of a bible study magazine HOPE, used extensively by African Americans in the South.
