**How I've Changed**

I have become a more open-minded individual when it comes to religion, social groups, and personal interests. I have explored much more here than I have in any academic setting. As a non-denominational Christian, I have enjoyed learning and practicing Buddhist meditations, studying Hindu goddesses, and branching out more than ever. The friend groups I have developed are outside what the younger me ever imagined. I've become gentle with myself, which feels absolutely freeing.

**Memorable Moment**

My most memorable moment at HDS was staying in the library for 14 hours writing my thesis before it was due, submitting it, going to McDonald's for a sausage, egg, and cheese McGriddle, and going home to sleep.

**Favorite Class or Professor**

My favorite class was "Christian Sex," taught by Professor Mark Jordan. It was in my first semester (darn Zoom year), and it actually helped me develop a runway for my thesis.

**Message of Thanks**

I would like to thank my grandma, Vivian (she goes by Esonia, hi Grandma!), for teaching me how to pray. When I was sick with leukemia as a child, she would come to the hospital and pray with me, until one day, she said it was time I learned on my own. That day, I told God "If you save me, I'll give my life to you." And I lived, starting God's plan for my life, leading up to this moment. I also want to thank my mom, Jenneyle, for forcing me to go to college when I didn't want to. You didn't know it at the time, but you helped me stay on God's plan, Ma! Lastly, I want to thank all the friends I've made here that allowed me to authentically be myself without feeling judged.

**What I Hope to Be Remembered By**

I hope to be remembered for my positive energy, amazing dance moves and love that I always shared.

**Future Plans**

My future plans are to go on and become the Army chaplain I am called to be. To be an example for young Black women who are automatically doubted. I plan to continue the work I have started with my thesis, which is providing adequate spiritual care for queer soldiers in the military, as well as any other issues I am called to.
