## How I've Changed

I am now even more suspicious about religious texts.

## Memorable Moment

Besides listening to Professor Carrasco, it would have to be dinner every Thursday with the family I’ve made here.

## Favorite Class or Professor

It’s difficult to narrow down a specific class, but being able to listen to Carrasco speak about his experiences has been by far one of the best moments. I also want to mention Professor Rivera and her Catastrophe course. And Non-Religious movements with Monica Sanford!

## Message of Thanks

I first want to thank my mentor, Professor Jennifer Scheper Hughes from the University of California, Riverside. She guided me through my undergraduate experience as a transfer student and suggested I continue my academic career here at HDS. I also want to thank the family I left in Los Angeles, and the family I have found here in my courses. My parents that have always been supportive of what I wanted to do and my siblings who’ve been some of the best teachers. Xhercis Mendez who was a visiting professor, reassured me that I belonged in the white walls of academia. Pedro Noé Morales for being an inspiration in the field I hope to one day represent. And lastly Professor Carrasco for being the reason why I drove across the country to study here at HDS. Being able to attend three classes with him in one day for a whole semester was a dream come true.
