## How I’ve Changed

I have become more self-reflexive, more aware of my interior process and the range of feelings that come up, taking the time to articulate them slowly and thoughtfully. I hope I have become more forgiving and loving.

What I realized studying at HDS is that I love doing close textual reading. I learned that from taking classes with Frank Clooney, Andy Teeter, and Jon Levenson. I’m hoping to take Greek or Hebrew in the future in order to deepen my understanding of the New Testament and the Hebrew Bible.

## Memorable Moment

My final thesis project: performing a jazz concert at HDS. Practicing and preparing for this helped me to not only develop my technique but to appreciate how music (especially jazz) is a spiritual experience that involves vulnerability and community.

## Favorite Class or Professor

Andy Teeter's Hebrew Bible class; Professor Levenson's classes on "Genesis and Wisdom" literature; Frank Clooney's class on Hindu and Christian classics; Matt Pott's preaching class, Sean Kelly's Heidegger class; Stephanie Paulsell’s class on Virginia Woolf; Kevin Madigan’s class on the Holocaust. They all had a powerful impact on me. I leave HDS with a growing fascination with Judaism and the Hebrew Bible.

## Message of Thanks

So many people inspired me and I'm grateful for them.

Andy Teeter, Jon Levenson, Matt Potts, Frank Clooney, Sean Kelly (in Philosophy).

Kevin Madigan, Stephanie Paulsell, Chris and Barbara Johnson, Dean Teddy, Dick Roos.

Sam Bailey. Several of my classmates, especially David Holden, Kristen Maples, Talia Goldberg, Jeff Breau, Dan Kramer.

My weekly Bible study group - especially Emma da Lisle and Andrew Schulman.

## What I Hope to Be Remembered by

Intermittent wisdom.

I hope I will be remembered as a good listener who offered glimmers of hope.

## Future Plans

I will be a Professor of Organizational Behavior at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and running the MS in Organizational Development. Based on my experience with my senior project I plan to perform at least one jazz concert per year. I will be doing another unit of CPE at Cleveland Clinic staring in the fall.
