## Describe the work you do today:

I lead a team of attorneys and non-lawyers in helping our students and graduates attain their professional development goals in the legal related sectors. This involves interfacing with students, graduates, prospective employers, and university administrators and policymakers to align our support systems of the school’s program mission and the employment market.

## How has your HDS degree influenced your career journey?

HDS had taught me to inhabit uncomfortable spaces of uncertainty and to be open to the ideas and values of others, letting them inform my own horizons of thought and decision-making.

## What career advice would you offer to current HDS students?

In a season where the value of religious studies education is being challenged on multiple fronts, and we have lost the capacity for respectful, dignified discussion in public spaces, your HDS education stands above all others in equipping you to approach the world with a critical eye and a conscientious spirit. Don’t be ashamed of our pluralistic approach to pedagogy. It is your superpower, for it enables you to consider the possible and to catalyze others to do the same. Reach out to HDS alums who are doing the things you have not crossed off your life list yet and ask them how they bring their experiences at HDS into their work. If they don’t have an answer for that, you probably should move on. If they do, lean in and listen keenly.
