## **Describe the work you do today:**

In my current role as the assistant director of institutional relations at Syracuse University Abroad, I work with the associate director to manage and grow enrollments across 10 partner institutions. I manage a portfolio of schools to increase SU program visibility, strengthen relationships, and ensure a seamless experience for visiting students. My work includes attending study abroad fairs, organizing on-campus events, addressing partner concerns, and liaising on student issues related to health, safety, academics, and billing. Additionally, I represent Syracuse Abroad at conferences, streamline partner communication, and develop data-driven outreach plans to support enrollment goals and budgeting.

## **How has your HDS degree influenced your career journey?**

I have been in international education for over 10 years, and for me, work ethic aligns closely with what I learned at HDS—listening, caring, and supporting others. These principles shape my values as a deeply committed educator, dedicated to helping students transform their experiences abroad into opportunities for self-redefinition. What we learn here isn’t just abstract; it’s tangible, constantly shaping how I think about my work and the impact from my training at HDS.

## **What career advice would you offer to current HDS students?**

Don't limit yourself to just your field—explore other possibilities. Reach out to Harvard professors and center managers for research, internships, or any opportunities that broaden your understanding of your major and future goals. Start as a volunteer, immerse yourself in the work, and stay focused on what truly interests you. If people question why an HDS student is pursuing a particular path, be ready to explain your reasoning and validate your choice. It’s not as difficult as you might think—just take the first step.
