## Describe the work you do today:

The One America Movement's mission is to equip faith leaders to respond to toxic polarization. We are building a network of leaders who are willing to speak out in alignment with their own faith traditions. I help develop our curriculum and lead both online workshops and in-person gatherings. I oversee our light- and medium-touch programming, helping participants engage at different levels of depth and commitment. I also build strong relationships quickly as we expand into new geographic areas and form strategic partnerships with a variety of national faith traditions.

## How has your HDS degree experience influenced your career journey?

HDS played a significant role in shaping my career path. Working in the Office of Student Life at a multifaith institution prepared me well for my later work in an interfaith office at a public university during that part of my journey. Not only that, but helping to lead orientation, approaching research with an open mind, engaging with lived religious experiences during noon services, and having informal conversations all pushed me to think more deeply about how our faith calls us to engage with one another in ways that are both authentic and welcoming. That foundation continues to guide me as I help lead a growing multifaith organization today.

## What career advice would you offer to current HDS students?

Take advantage of the full Harvard network. I gained a lot from taking classes not only HDS, but also at the law school and the school of education. Enjoy the informal times! Spend some extra time with classmates at tea or on the lawn. I learned so much from my classmates that still helps me today.
