## Describe the work you do today:

As CEO and co-founder of Trajectory of Hope, I lead our work partnering with schools and districts to uproot systemic racism and address inequities in education. I oversee strategy, partnerships, and program design, ensuring that our services—such as educator affinity spaces, equity-based coaching, and needs assessments—help educators confront implicit bias and shift practices that impact marginalized students. A key part of my role is securing contracts and funding that sustain and grow our impact, from expanding within districts to developing long-term partnerships. I also guide our team in building strong relationships with educators and families, elevating their voices as critical partners in transforming school culture. At its core, my work is about creating conditions where students experience joy, safety, and belonging while supporting educators in sustaining equity-driven change.

## How has your HDS degree experience influenced your career journey?

My degree from HDS has deeply shaped my journey and the launch of Trajectory of Hope. While at HDS, I intentionally shaped much of my coursework around building the foundation for the organization, including applying to and being accepted into Harvard’s Innovation Lab, where I gained practical tools to bring my vision to life. HDS also gave me a unique lens for appreciating diverse worldviews and becoming more sensitive to how people’s spiritual journeys show up in different ways. Traveling through seminars and engaging with people in other countries expanded that perspective even further, reinforcing my commitment to equity and compassion in my work. Perhaps most importantly, my classmates inspired and motivated me with their passion and brilliance. The relationships and experiences I gained at HDS continue to influence how I lead, build community, and pursue justice.

## What career advice would you offer to current HDS students?

My advice to current HDS students is to be intentional about shaping your degree around the work you feel called to do. Take advantage of the flexibility to design your path, whether that means cross-registering at other schools, applying to programs like the Harvard Innovation Lab, or seeking mentors who can help you connect your studies to real-world impact. Don’t be afraid to test your ideas while still a student, HDS is a nice place to experiment and refine your vision. I also encourage you to lean into the diversity of the community. Your classmates’ perspectives and lived experiences are just as valuable as what you’ll learn in the classroom, and they will push you to think differently. Finally, trust your instincts and remain open to where your spiritual and vocational journeys intersect, you may be surprised by what doors open.
