### How I've Changed 

Well, for one thing, I became more religious. Which wasn't my intended outcome but which has been exactly right. I came here, in part, to figure out whether or not I even wanted to keep calling myself a Christian. I am coming away with a denomination (surprise!) and a call—a sense of firm conviction that since I can't shake loose from the stories that raised me, I have a responsibility to carry them, tend them, and live them in a way that seeks to repair the harm they've caused. Jesus still has a grip on my heart. This God-is-Love, this Love-is-God-and-also-Human—I want to follow that. I will be spending the rest of my life figuring out what that means.

I also deepened my sense of community since starting at HDS. I became more confident in my own place in community-building. I learned what I'm capable of in so many ways. I learned from so many beautiful humans here at HDS, whose grace, wisdom, and imagination have been a balm and a spark for my soul.

### Memorable Moment

Dancing at Solidarity Ball with so many people I love. Lights off in a room that's usually our classroom, everyone full of wine and snacks, dressed to the nines in every way imaginable. Not worrying so much about whether we're good at dancing, just doing it, badly, on purpose. How silly. How lovely.

### Message of Thanks 

My classmates are the greatest gift. At risk of running out of space, I can't name every person I've loved and who has shaped me over the past few years, so I won't try. But know that you all have my tremendous gratitude. From sections to cohorts to my Senior Seminar squad to the Farmer Collective, you are the reason I have hope for what we can build from this place. You have inspired me, uplifted me, challenged me, made me think, cooked with me, wept with me, gone to church with me, sustained me. I can't thank you all enough!

### What I Hope to Be Remembered By

I hope to be remembered by profound silliness and profound love. And maybe a dash of whimsy. Not much else, really.

### Future Plans

I am returning to Ohio, where I was born and raised, to be with my family and learn what ministry means in the context of my hometown while I pursue ordination in the Presbyterian Church (USA). I hope to become a pastor, and I hope to contribute to making Ohio a safer space for all my loved ones. I plan to continue writing fiction and making music. In particular, I hope to finish writing the novel I started as my thesis project (maybe this summer?) and find a way to publish it. I also plan to be at the Society of Biblical Literature and American Academy of Religion Annual Meeting this year, so if you're in Boston this November, I'll see you then!
