Favorite Class or Professor 

I am particularly grateful for Dan Mckanan and Rev. Matthew Potts, who reshaped their classes in the fall of 2020 to adapt to the pandemic experience. Both Dan and Matt created pre-recorded lectures and conversations (affectionately nicknamed Matt’s podcast and the “Dan-cast”) to help us spend less time in lectures on zoom. They encouraged us to build our pandemic experiences and questions into our work together and helped make ministry and theology feel particularly relevant in these times. Dan’s “Liberal and Liberation Theologies in Dialogue” and Matt’s “Sacramental Imagination” classes have been two of the stand-outs of my time at HDS. Thank you to Dan and Matt for being such patient and supportive advisors! These words from Matt have remained close to my heart throughout my time in divinity school: "Ministry is an incredible privilege of invitation; it is such a gift to be invited into the tender moments of people’s lives (both the monumental and the everyday)." 

Message of Thanks  

I am so grateful to the many dear friends, family members, roommates, dogs, neighbors, and ministers who have loved me through these three years. Much love to my thesis co-conspirators, Rosemary and Martha. A million thank yous to the communities that have held me and helped me grow: Harvard Unitarian Universalist Ministry for Students, Sanctuary Boston, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Marin, First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco, and Follen Community Church. I am so grateful to be in such loving community. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 

Future Plans 

I am preparing for Unitarian Universalist Ministry and will continue to serve as the ministerial intern at the Follen Community Church in Lexington, MA, for the next year.
