Memorable Moment 

So many moments, how to choose just one? It's a toss-up between the Justice and Music (JAM) Collective's first open-mic night and also our JAM Noon Service! JAM Collective has been such a journey for me. It has taught me the value of doing solely for the love of something and not worrying about perfection or judgment. I have gained so much confidence in my own identity as an artist because of my JAM fam and it has been integral in realizing my future as a community organizer and arts advocate. 

Favorite Class or Professor 

My favorite professor must undoubtedly be Hindi-Urdu language preceptor, Richard Delacy. I took Hindi my first two years here at Harvard and in those two years, I felt reconnected to the fun and joy that is the necessary root of language learning. Richard ji's dynamic and eccentric personality made my first year, the dreaded virtual year, in graduate school bearable. I knew that no matter what, four days a week for one hour, I would laugh and smile and enjoy the virtual space. I am incredibly thankful for his spirit and love of Hindi-Urdu and South Asian culture. 

What I Hope to Be Remembered By 

I hope to be remembered by my presence here at HDS, supporting the many different organizations and communities I am a part of. I am a people-oriented person and gain so much energy through others. I show up for people because I know how important it is for me. HDS is all about the community we make and I hope I’ve made an impact on the people I’ve seen around the halls and the many events that pop up throughout the year.
