Memorable Moment

One of my favorite memories is the Jews for Liberation Noon Service, held during Sukkot, in which we invited people to put the names of their ancestors in our community sukkah. The ancestors included everyone from Muhammad to Audre Lorde to my grandmothers. I was reminded what a gift it is to attend a school filled with so many spiritual and ancestral lineages.

Message of Thanks

I would like to thank my friends, roommates, colleagues, mentors and professors. The people I met at HDS are generous and brilliant; they are spiritual leaders, creative visionaries, and groundbreaking academics. They inspire me and I hope our connections will grow and change in years to come.

I want to thank HDS Jews for Liberation, HDS Students for Justice in Palestine, and the Palestine Solidarity Committee for being organizing homes for me over the past three years. Together, we have built multifaith movements for justice on campus and beyond.

What I Hope to Be Remembered By

I hope I will be remembered as a mentor, a leader, a community builder, and a good friend.

Future Plans

In June, I will complete my contract with Religion and Public Life as communications specialist, then head to Middlebury to study Biblical Hebrew for the summer. In the future, I imagine I will continue my work building radical Jewish spaces and eventually hope to attend rabbinical school. Although I am not sure what my life will look like after August, I am excited and curious to find out.
