Describe the work you do today:
I operate a cafe that serves clean, simple, wholesome food and beverages in Cambridge, MA. As a small BIPOC business owner I am involved in all aspects of running my business. I oversee finance, tax filings, marketing, hiring, menu creation, web design, purchasing, outsourcing work, etc.
How has your HDS degree influenced your career journey?
It has helped me understand others and their needs on a day-to-day basis as I interact and engage in conversations with my customers and vendors.
What career advice would you offer to current HDS students?
Study and explore with an open mind and heart; you never know what you may discover, not only about the subject of your studies, but also about yourself. Pursue what you are passionate about. What makes you happy?
