How I've Changed

My reliance upon God and His daily provision increased dramatically at HDS. During especially stressful times, I always found Him near, reminding me of His adoration and promise not to abandon me. I would not have passed a couple of exams without His help! I have more confidence in Him and His plan for my life because of my time here at HDS.

Memorable Moment

I will cherish my memories of Morning Prayers at Memorial Church and Tuesday Morning Eucharists at Swartz Hall. I will especially remember the occasions I had the honor to speak at each.

Favorite Class or Professor

I enjoyed each of my classes for different reasons! I particularly enjoyed the classes I was able to take/audit at HLS, HKS, HBS, and FAS. I'm so grateful for the opportunity that HDS gave me to cross-register at other schools. Not only were those classes fantastic opportunities to apply my theological training in different contexts, but it was also exciting to see God moving in the lives and work of non-HDS faculty and students.

Message of Thanks

Now that I've experienced it firsthand, I have such an appreciation for Harvard, its faculty/staff, and its student body. I have routinely been in awe not only of everyone's brilliance but of everyone's sincere passion for making our world a better place. I leave here inspired and with greater confidence in humanity to solve our biggest problems.

What I Hope to Be Remembered By

I hope I represented the U.S. Navy and military chaplaincy well during my time at HDS.

Future Plans

I will return to the Navy and be stationed in Singapore for the next three years, where I intend to apply everything I've learned here at HDS.
