We know life doesn’t stop while you are in graduate school. During your time at HDS, you may experience medical challenges, loss, and/or major life events that impact your academic progress. Whether you are receiving disability accommodations or managing a need that falls outside of formal accommodations, this page provides tips on working with your faculty, advisor, and other HDS community members.

If this is an emergency: please call 911 or Harvard University Police Department (HUPD).

If you are in need of immediate support, Harvard’s Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Sexual Harassment/Assault Resources & Education (SHARE) both provide 24/7 support.

Accessibility Services

We work with students with disabilities to ensure equal access to all aspects of university life. Through an interactive process, we determine reasonable accommodations that help reduce disability-related barriers and support full participation in the academic experience.
