Graduate Profile: Noa Sepharia, MTS '24
How I've Changed
I have been transformed throughout my time at HDS. I've become more comfortable in my own skin, and I'm walking away with the belief that living authentically is a profound way of worshiping God.
Memorable Moment
My most memorable moment would be celebrating Purim for the first time. I fell in love with this holiday, it illustrates the way in which humor and joy serve as a profound act of resistance to oppression.
Favorite Class or Professor
While this is an extremely difficult question to answer, I would have to say that my favorite class was Professor Patton's "Birds and Mythology." I was enraptured with every lesson in this class, and I'm still an amateur birder to this day. The birds sing God's praises!
Message of Thanks
I would like to thank the people I've met in Jews for Liberation and feminists making midrash. The incredible individuals in these groups were family to me at a time when I needed them most.
What I Hope to Be Remembered By
I hope to be remembered for my graceful approach to fighting all forms of oppression, and importantly, for my impeccable fashion.
Future Plans
I plan to find a job working to make our communities safer, particularly for those who society has cast aside, such as our unhoused community and the queer youth who are disproportionately a part of it. I will also continue to make music, stream it on all platforms!
