Describe the work you do today:

I manage and configure the Salesforce platform of a nonprofit called Refugee Assistance Alliance, leveraging database management and design to tell compelling stories about how we help refugees in South Florida gain self-sufficiency.

How has your HDS degree experience influenced your career journey?

My HDS degree instilled a passion for service and volunteerism, guiding me to its history in the rich tapestry of American Religious History. I aspire to build upon that passion by working at the intersection of technology and community initiatives, working with non-profits and higher educational institutions to foster outreach, streamline communication, and drive impact.

What career advice would you offer to current HDS students?

If you are struggling to figure out how to find work, always look for volunteer positions and your path ahead will find you. Sometimes you reset and reboot your career path but your ability to translate complex concepts into simple sentences, work collaboratively, and pursue new challenges with enthusiasm will always remain. Don’t forget why you pursued a degree in theology no matter where life takes you.
